While almost everyone will be able to get their free treat, Krispy Kreme had to put some conditions on the offer. The first one being that they will only distribute free donuts on the Fourth of July proper, not for the entire weekend, and that anyone that wishes to redeem the offer will have to go into a participating Krispy Kreme store dressed in the colors of the American flag.
If you fulfill those conditions, you will receive a free Original Glazed donut without having to make a purchase, although we all know that once you are inside, temptation will likely be too strong, and you will end up purchasing at least one of the new flavors that we will talk about soon. After all, they are limited edition. The offer will only be available as one unit per person, at participating stores and util supplies last, so you might want to get in early if you do not want to miss your treat.
The Krispy Kreme Fourth of July promotion
The Fourth of July is coming up and this year there are so many good news for all Americans. The first one, it is a Friday, which means you can use the long weekend to host or go as many parties and barbeques as you and your loved ones decide to throw, and the second one is that Krispy Kreme is also partaking in the spirit of this holiday and have created a special donut promotion so that you can enjoy this holiday with an additional treat. To celebrate this momentous occasion called Independence Day, they will not only be giving away free donuts, they will also be launching a special edition of patriotic flavors that will be gone in a short time.
Of course the Fourth of July is about celebrating the Independence of America from the Brits and it is meant to be a special day that is shared with friends and family, but in the past few decades donuts have become one of the staples of the American culture, and so, while we should not be focusing on capitalistic pursuits in a day such as this one, having a donut will likely just lift your spirit.
The promotion is part of the special “Stars, Stripes & Sweetness” collection, which is meant to accompany the Fourth of July spirit. As Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief growth officer, said “Whether you’re heading to parades, parties, or pools during the holiday, our Stars, Stripes & Sweetness collection is the perfect addition to sweeten your Fourth of July celebration and make the day one to remember.”
This is why the special collection features three patriotic-themed donuts, each drawing on the red, white, and blue color scheme of the American flag:
- The first one is the Freedom Ring, a classic glazed base finished with white icing, red icing stripes, and topped with blue sprinkles and white star shapes.
- The second one is the USA Party which is filled with a white buttercream center, this glazed donut is topped with a festive mix of sprinkles and a decorative sugar piece bearing the “USA” emblem.
- And the third one is the Vanilla Cookies & Kreme Liberty Crunch which caters to those that prefer to skip the glaze in favor of a rich vanilla and cookie filling, finished with white icing, cookie crumbles, bright sprinkles, and a white icing drizzle.
While the final date of the new collection has not been announced, you will be able to purchase one of these new treats starting this week at all participating Krispy Kreme locations in the US. If you prefer, you can also order it for pickup or delivery through the official website or app.
