If you’re a McDonald’s’s fan, you’ll likely be no stranger to a McFlurry, the frozen soft serve dessert that’s been tickling taste buds in the United States since 1997 (1995 in Canada).
But you might not be familiar with the latest addition to the menu, with the fast food franchise brining out a new McFlurry that tastes just like summer. That’s the marketing spiel, anyway.
In addition to all the iconic burgers and soft drinks presented by the great American fast food franchise, this new summer menu appeals directly to consumers to try this ideal new product.
Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry: all you must know
McDonald’s more recent item is Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry, made from McDonald’s own creamy vanilla soft serve all along with Hershey’s milk chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows. Sweet goodness meets nostalgia – remember those summer camps as a child? – meets summer vibes, which the company is banking on being a winning combination.

Instagram foodie Snackolator declared himself a huge fan, praising the dessert’s “perfect blend” of crackers, marshmallow and chocolate. “It’s delicious. We should be having these things year round.”
Some commenters were in agreement, with one saying “McDonald’s definitely nailed this one,” while others described it as “great” and “so good”. No messing about there. As tends to happen, especially on social media, not everybody is a fan, with additional reviews ranging from “okay,” to “horrible,” to “gross”. Perhaps it’s best to try it for yourself. It’s so common to see that there are many opinions, because this product is so special.. you might love it or either you can handle its suggary flavour.

One bite and I was instantly transported back to my (very short-lived) childhood camping phase. You can even fell when you used to laste until 2 am in a tent in my suburban backyard. It is pure nostalgia and tasted exactly like you’d imagine: a gourmet take on the classic s’more. Hershey’s chocolate pieces, toasted marshmallows, and crunchy graham cracker bits are perfectly swirled into the chain’s signature vanilla soft serve, creating a dreamy mix of textures. The graham crackers brought just the right amount of crunch and the marshmallows melt into a gooey, satisfying finish.

Fans of McDonald’s — and there are many, as 53% of all men and 42% of all women eat at McDonald’s at least once a week — are in for a treat, as the nation’s top fast food restaurant launched the Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry.

McDonald’s is presenting the Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry through Friday, August 11. McDonald’s new McFlurry is available as a single purchase or as part of a value meal at all locations. Don’t wait to go to you closet McDonald’s in order to get one!
Now, here’s the only caveat: The S’mores McFlurry isn’t sticking around forever. As the true summer menu staple that it is, the treat has been labeled a “limited edition” launch, though it’s not clear how “limited” the run will be. But, hey, that just means you have an excuse to get ice cream for dinner sooner rather than later.
